Mazda will sell its six-passenger 2012 Mazda5 van for a base price of $19,990, including shipping, when it goes on sale in January. Like with its city car, Volkswagen is adopting the policy of using a conventional car as the basis for its electric power Golf. The German car maker is claiming a range of 118 miles after a full charge, while top speed is an acceptable 87mph and the zero to 62mph sprint takes a brisk 10.4 seconds.
TEENAGER Max Verstappen is confident he can handle the pressures of the world of Formula One and insists he is not worried about the sport's dangers. The 16-year-old is set to become the youngest driver in F1's history after joining Toro Rosso for the 2015 campaign. Verstappen - 17 in September and currently competing in Formula Three - will replace Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne at the Red Bull-owned team.
